Denver, CO – Well, that’s a really good question. If you’re a liberal, you probably get inundated with social media, email, and the lamestream media touting their accomplishments that the rest of us realize are ruining Colorado.
If you’re a conservative, you have to make an effort to find out information. This kind of makes sense, since conservatives do preach “personal responsibility.” Here at the Colorado Citizen’s Press, we think we provide a good resource to conservatives and anyone else who reads our website. However, there are a few more resources to check out to keep track of the legislature and hence your legislator(s).
First, there is the old school organization, the Colorado Union of Taxpayers, AKA “CUT.” They do a decent job, track some bills, and rate the legislators. It’s a good snapshot of what your legislator is up to and where their rhetoric matches their votes. CUT Ratings can be found [HERE].
Unfortunately, a now dormant resource was Principles of Liberty. It was pretty comprehensive. So if you want to see what they offered or check in on your legislator’s voting history from 2011 to 2018, it can be found [HERE].
Luckily, a new group stepped up last year to fill the void that Principles of Liberty left. They are the Republican Liberty Caucus of Colorado (RLCCO). This group tracks bills and rates, legislators, much like Principles of Liberty did.
Here are their ratings from 2019, the worst year on record for Colorado (Click HERE, you will have to scroll down pretty far for the legislator ratings). We wrote about this last Summer to let you, our readers, digest it. We didn’t really single anyone out, except for those that scored well like Minority Leader Patrick Neville and Senate Minority Caucus Chair Vicki Marble. We left the bad apples to the mercy of you, our readers.
There were a lot of Republicans that were bad apples, and this was shameful considering what the Democrats did to Colorado last year. Unfortunately, many legislators didn’t get the memo.
So, first, we’re going to provide a link to the bills that RLCCO is tracking. That link is [HERE]. You can see what bills they’ve flagged as oppose or support. It’s a “rustic” spreadsheet, but it’s searchable, which is nice, and we know our readers will use it as a resource.
You can also see who the “Prime” Sponsors are by clicking on the bill links in the spreadsheet. A “Prime Sponsor is the legislator who introduced the bill. So these people didn’t just vote wrong, they’re sponsoring bad legislation.
We think that makes it worse when a “conservative” legislator or even a Republican legislator helps with the extreme-far-left agenda of the Democrats. So we’re taking off the gloves, we will point out some of the bad actors at the legislature. Stay tuned, and welcome to the Thunderdome!

Remember to check back with the Colorado Citizen Press. We’re always looking for good stories to write. Please use our “Citizen Tip Line” early and often. Like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter (@COCitizenPress)!
Thanks for the mention. We’re working on the “rustic” spreadsheet 😉 Stay tuned.
