So there is a federal statute that says illegal aliens can’t live in public housing – sounds reasonable to most of us. But of course, it’s still happening, meaning illegals are doing another illegal thing by living in this public housing (Think Housing and Urban Development housing or HUD).
So, this guy named Dr. Ben Carson who ran for president in 2016 and is now head of HUD, proposed a rule that allows authorities to evict these illegal aliens that are again using our tax dollars for subsidized housing. Sounds reasonable to most of us…
…Except for our friends on the left Rep. Nanette Diaz Barragan (CA-44) and everyone’s favorite rocket scientist Rep. Maxine Waters (CA-43). Waters chairs the powerful House Financial Services committee – we could write articles on THAT all day, but we digress.
So how many illegal aliens would be evicted? Apparently, in Los Angeles alone, that would be 11,600 people or about 31% of the people living in HUD housing – again this is just in Los Angeles. This article claims (it’s probably low) that 32,000 public units are housing illegal aliens. This is just incentivizing people to come here illegally, FREE STUFF!!!
So how many of these people here illegally are we housing in Colorado? We definitely want to know.
