Denver, CO – We recently asked our readers if they stopped watching a sport or team. Results show political statements are driving longtime sports fans away.
This does not necessarily surprise us, but respondents on social media were very clear where they stood.
Many pointed out that it was not the place of athletes to use their time on the field to tell people how to think. Others commented on how they removed memorabilia from their walls or returned recently purchased jerseys.
