Colorado Springs, CO – On Veteran’s Day, we found this hidden gem from House Republican Leader Patrick Neville, who served honorably as a Captain in the U.S. Army.
Normally, we here at Colorado Citizen Press would give you a quick synopsis of the article or op-ed. However, this is a really good and quick read. It gives you a history of how Proposition CC got on the ballot, and how voters overwhelming sent the message of “NO” to democrats and a few wayward Republicans (in the State Senate).
Here is a quick highlight:
In my role as minority leader, I marvel at the incestuous political relationship between progressive lawmakers and the ‘education-media-special interest elite.’ They support politicians and in turn — surprise, surprise — receive enormous amounts of taxpayer money. I ask myself, “Who will stand up for the little guy? Who will stand up for the average taxpayer?” Time and again, the answer has been conservative Republicans.

For those of you just tuning in, Proposition CC was on the ballot this year. Its goal was to let the government keep more of your money while gutting the Taxpayer Bill of Rights (TABOR). State voters said no to gutting TABOR again, but the liberal politicians won’t listen.
We covered Proposition CC [HERE], [HERE], [HERE], and [HERE] if you want more background and commentary. There’s more content on Proposition CC on our site, but we think the four links are enough!
