If you didn’t see the Governor’s State of the State address, you didn’t miss much: Vague, feel-good comments without any actual ideas outside of the broad, liberal, utopian vision.
But hidden in between his vague overview of ideal future expectations, was Polis’s real agenda – further control over you and Colorado industries.
He made the claims of allowing market forces to work for better and more affordable healthcare. But we know he doesn’t want a market driven healthcare system…
He wants universal healthcare or better known as single payer, which doesn’t include the market at all. It includes the government, telling you what you can and can’t do.
But you already know all about it because you and the rest of Colorado voted against this government power grab back in 2016.
But now it is back, and you have no say in the matter this time.
Details were notably absent from his plan. Because to the left, the legitimacy of policy is based off of intent, not its merits.
Why not look to the liberal lab experiment of Vermont, home of socialist Bernie Sanders, where the government legally required themselves to switch to a single payer state healthcare system. After years of dodging the issue, their liberal Governor eventually announced it could not be done and were forced to abandon their liberal utopian dream.
Even after proposing an additional 16% payroll tax, they could not pay for it.
Is this the direction we want to see Colorado go? Polis and his socialist worker ants do.
That would be a death sentence for Colorado’s small business, and you could say adios to the bigger corporations who can afford to move and avoid it.
Behind the glamour of liberal promises, is destruction.
