Attorney General Phil Weiser is wasting taxpayer funds to advocate for heroin injection centers.
The controversial AG signed onto yet another “progressive” cause Thursday. The legal fight involves a non-profit in Philidelphia fighting against the federal government to overrule the “crackhouse statute.” The statute bans facilities from selling or allowing the use of illicit drugs.
This is what Weiser’s spokesman had to say on the matter:
“The opioid epidemic is destroying lives, families and communities here in Colorado and around the country,” Weiser’s spokesman, Lawrence Pacheco, said in a written statement Thursday. “States are laboratories of democracy and should have the flexibility to develop appropriate public health solutions.”

A taxpayer-funded enablement facility allowing our friends and family to poison themselves with lethal chemicals is NOT an appropriate public health solution.
This is also not what a majority of Coloradans want to see our Attorney General wasting time on. Thanks to a massive grassroots effort, injection center legislation died before its introduction in 2019.
State Senator Brittany Pettersen (D-Jefferson), the face of heroin injection centers, claims she will not run injection center legislation in 2020. Take that with a grain of salt – you know how great politicians are at keeping promises.
Now, Pettersen may not introduce or even sign onto the bill, but if it is introduced, all signs point to her supporting and voting for it.
Consider legislation that passed this year. A bill signed into law in late March allows for the funding of heroin injection centers with state tax dollars. The prime sponsor on the bill – Brittany Pettersen.
Republicans in the House ran an amendment explicitly stating that state funds could not be used to fund heroin injection centers. Democrats struck the amendment down.
Democrats like Weiser and Pettersen are rushing the deadly injection center agenda forward. Denver already has a clean needle exchange which allegedly caused an uptick in needles laying around the capitol.
They want to allow downtrodden addicts to shoot-up deadly drugs, and they want you to pay for it.

This is not what this tax payer wants. But the population strung out on heavy drugs be how the democrats want to exert control over us all. I have been prey to this evil plan. Went 9n disability in 2009. That’s when the doctors put me on prescription pain killers, so I would be too numb to complain when they started their program of injections. No kidding if I had as many needles sticking out of me as they stuck in me I would look like a porcupine.
By 2012 I was addicted not only to the pills (Oxiecodone) but all the epidural injections. Also had time in ICU in 2012 for pneumonia 6 weeks in hospital, and all the drugs they were giving me. I was out of touch mental with my family and friends. My had to take over all responsibility for household. This went on until 2015.
And I started to realize what was happening to me and my family. I decided I could take no more PAIN MISMANAGEMENT DOCTORS. And stoped all drugs and alcohol. Started on my journey of healing myself. The further I got from the drugs and alcohol, the better I got. No fancy rehabilitation center that will cost you and your insurance about 40,000 dollars.
Today I am alcohol and drug free. Have gone from 245lbs to 160lbs. My wife and I are alive and doing well. 9n our new home, we are building with our family 0n our ranch of 80 acres we have named Rolling Thunder. There’s much more if anyone is interested. See u all in the funny papers. This is a true story and I am a real person.
Congratulations to your fine efforts. Sometimes the biggest effort is made by you!! Gods with you and your family!! Well done!!
If you encourage drug addicts or excuse them. They will take and take…and still wont help. Offer recovery not a place to fall deeper into addiction.
