Introduced by Rep. Barbara McLachlan,HB19-1067 changes the requirement for tinted windows on vehicles. However, this isn’t changing what you currently can have on your vehicle; this mandates a required amount of tint for out-of-staters driving in Colorado.
“The bill requires motor vehicles registered outside Colorado but operated in Colorado to transmit at least 20% of light through windows other than the windshield.”
The legislation contains no definition for “operated in Colorado” and therefore seems vague enough to be enforceable on out-of-state families vacationing in the state.
With so many nanny state policies introduced in Colorado this year, regulations are starting to spill over onto the rest of the country.
Colorado Democrats are so compassionate; they want to look out for other states too.
This is real? Sure know how to waste taxpayers money! The real bills that are neglected are the rediculous laws that state government passes!
Really? This is what our legislators are worried about? Mandating the maximum amount of window tint on vehicles is consuming the hearts and minds of our elected officials? God help us…….
Are these clowns bored? If you must pass laws to feel like you’re doing something, please pass something that will be worth it paper it’s written on. Make it apply to law enforcement vehicles as well as the motoring public, if you must.
