Denver, CO – In a bizarre announcement in the Colorado State House this morning, Democrats defended the arrested protesters from the State of the State Address.
Representative Jonathan Singer (D-Boulder) began the exchange where Democrats defended the intentionally disruptive environmental activists.
Members of the Extinction Rebellion were arrested for interrupting Governor Jared Polis’ State of the State Address. Other activists from the Sunrise Movement were arrested outside the House Chamber for chanting after being asked not to disrupt the event. The Sunrise Movement is the same group responsible for impersonating the city of Denver with a fake letter in December.
Clearly, these groups expect Democrats to do exactly what they want because they throw tantrums. Today’s comments from Democrats show that they support this brutish behavior.
You can watch Singer, and Representative Jovan Melton (D-Arapahoe) make the absurd statements below.
Singer and Melton claim that civil disobedience is important for democracy. While it is, these activists have many options to make their case without disrupting the legislature.
Singer claims punishing those arrested violates their First Amendment rights. That is just not true.
When activists visit the Colorado State Capitol, they are expected to be civil. Singer, Melton, and the other Democrats in support of this disruptive behavior are inviting chaos and bullying into the legislature.
Instead, activists could set up meetings or visit legislator’s offices. The activists could call or email their legislators, or stage a peaceful protest like the one held by Republican and right-leaning activists on the first day of the session.
Instead, they chose to disrupt the Governor’s State of the State Address and the governing process. They directly ignored requests not to chant and disturb the peace.
Apparently, Democrats support this type of bullying behavior. They are not looking out for folks who are supposedly at risk. Democrats are enabling disruptive rulebreakers to use bully tactics to advance a shared agenda.
Hypocrisy
We even have proof of the Democrat’s hypocrisy on the matter. In contrast to their defense of disruptive and rulebreaking behavior, Democrats reportedly had a peaceful pro-life man thrown out of a committee meeting in 2019.
Watch the gentleman in the white shirt and tie standing at the front right of the committee room in the video below. According to a source at the Capitol, he is a pleasant man who works for Democrats for Life.
Apparently, after attempting to speak with one of the Democrat legislators at a break, he was asked to sit down. In the video below, he appears to comply.
Later, at approximately 7:10 in the video, Representative Kyle Mullica (D-Adams) motions towards the man, and Capitol Police remove him from the room. Due to his removal, and it is our understanding he was not arrested, the man was unable to testify.
Today, Democrats are defending arrested rulebreakers for interrupting legislative business. Last year, they used police to remove a man from a committee meeting who we understand from our sources to be a polite man lobbying as a pro-life Democrat.
Democrats appear willing to defend bullying activists who support their agenda while they silence anyone who disagrees with them.
We doubt this will be the last abuse of power under Colorado’s Democrat-controlled government.

As proffer little if any more than piss-poor excuses, much less reasons, for quite plainly disturbed demonstrators as unsound mind who mock law and order apparently over their pointed little heads, Colorado’s more pretentious sophist sociopaths manipulatively as pathetically cloy the naïve.
