Take the guns first, then due process later.
That’s what Democrats want with their “red flag” legislation, and to hell with the falsely accused and their rights.
It’s no secret that the Democrats are planning on bringing back this dangerous legislation. But they see it as benign legislation that everyone can agree on, and casually slide in the statement “will protect due process”.
The problem is, I guess we disagree on what due process is.
Democrats seem to think you can take accusations at face value, forcibly confiscate someone’s guns, and force them to go through the appeals process to prove their innocents.
I’m no Constitutional scholar, but that’s not how the Fourth and Fifth Amendments work.
Unfortunately, there’s little the Republicans can do to defeat this bill like they did last year. And I’m sure it won’t be long until this bill comes up.
But something doesn’t add up.
Last fall, state Sen. Stephen Fenberg, a Boulder Democrat, as well as other Democrats, claimed gun control legislation outside of red flag won’t be a priority. Do you believe this? – I don’t.
With complete control of the process, and far left gun control groups screaming for more, I don’t envision them being modest with their gun control agenda.
They’ll play coy, but they’re ready to throw gas on the fire as soon as the next massacre happens. These people root for tragedies so they can justify taking liberties away.
Red Flag legislation will be coming soon. But wait until there is another shooting. Then they will have many priorities.
