Last week we wrote an article on how new rules are starting the process of the government eliminating gas-powered vehicles in Colorado. Again, this would include hybrids like a Prius because they are not 100% renewable.
This new rule went fairly unnoticed, but now the Auto Dealers are weighing in. Tim Jackson who is a pretty popular guy for both Dems and the GOP at the State Capitol (or so we hear), wrote a pretty decent op-ed in Colorado politics titled: OPINION | Heed Colorado consumers — not California regulators — on electric cars. We don’t agree with all of it, but we would rather see the private sector move towards market solutions versus being forced into something by the government.
A quick highlight from Jackson’s op-ed: “That’s the Colorado way: Find unique common-sense solutions that we all can support. Compare that to the California way.“
Elections matter, and it’s time to flip back Colorado to a measure of common sense. Join a Recall campaign, or start volunteering for candidates that can help do this!
