POLL: Should Colorado get rid of the Taxpayer Bill of Rights?

With Proposition CC on the ballot asking Coloradans to forgo hundreds of millions of dollars in tax refunds required by the Taxpayer Bill of Rights, we thought this was an important question to ask.

For those of you who may not know, the Taxpayer Bill of Rights (TABOR) requires the state to issue refunds when there is excess tax revenue. It also requires a vote of the people on ANY tax increase.

Please take a few seconds to let us know where you stand. Results will be published next week.

  1. we should do nothing encouraged by this present administration, they have not been transparent, they seek to change Colorado and Colorado values forever. Their every act of legislation has been to subvert and change Colorado forever. We are mostly rural communities that have nothing in common with Denver and Boulder.

  2. Colorado should keep TABOR, and FILE CRIMINAL CHARGES against ANY AND ALL government employees, whether Elected, Hired or Politically Appointed, INCLUDING JUDGES for VIOLATING THEIR OATH OF OFFICE by attempting to damage that portion of the COLORADO STATE CONSTITUTION!

It’s called ACCOUNTABILITY and the sooner the Citizens of Colorado STOP CATERING and letting criminal activities slide, THROW THEM IN PRISON!

UNTIL THERE ARE PENALTIES they will keep destroying the RIGHTS OF THE PEOPLE!

  3. Beware when rich guys like Doug Bruce claim something they’re up to will be good for everyone. OK, so I get a few bucks from the state every year or so, but now I also live in a town with more potholed streets than you can count and school buildings without air conditioning.

  4. No the taxpayer should not be removed even though so often they have tried to whittle away at its protections.
