Arvada, CO – Politicians, especially Democrats, try to buy votes with “free stuff.” The problem is that “free stuff” is never really free. Someone is always paying the tab, and when it is a politician making the promise, we the taxpayer are paying for it.
The latest iteration of free stuff in Colorado is HB20-1131 working its way through the legislature. This bill is a grant program for free menstrual hygiene products in schools. Usually, the free stuff angle would be good enough for an article, but what makes this interesting is the bill’s Prime Sponsors.
Representative Yadira Caraveo and Senator Faith Winter’s sponsorship of the bill should surprise no one; they are two of the many resident socialists at the State Capitol.
However, the interesting main Prime Sponsor is State Representative Brianna Titone. Not only is Titone one of the worst legislators down at the Capitol after insulting military families and Catholic Priests, but Titone is Transgender. That is, Titone is a man who now identifies as a woman. Titone’s given name is Brian Christoper Titone, and will never have any use for any of these products that this bill covers.
Titone’s sponsorship of this bill is another one of those “Huh?!?” moments at the State Capitol.
What do you think of this bill, and who is sponsoring it? Please comment below and on social media!
