Lisa Cutter Votes to Gut Charter School Funding

Yesterday, there was a vote that went under the radar but was an important and telling vote.

HB19-1190 was a repeal of the mill levy equalization fund. The fund is a municipal fund for schools and requires funds to be diversified to charter schools.

If passed, it would take away the requirement to distribute funds to charter schools and would divert money to more bureaucratically controlled public schools.

Of course, the far left wants this because they hate the idea of independent thought and more private options take away from the wallets and power of teachers unions.

Thankfully, this bill died in committee on a 12-1 vote.

Oh… that one vote? Democrat Lisa Cutter of Jefferson County of course.

Not only did she vote there to try and dissipate funding from students that don’t drink the state Kool-Aid, but has voted for every socialist idea this session; National Popular Vote, Red Flag, mandatory gay sex education, supports sanctuary cities, and the list goes on.

Maybe we found a new contestant to play the RECALL game?
