Denver, CO – Campaign finance filings for the “Yes on National Popular Vote” committee are in, and 98 percent of donations are from California.
The committee reportedly raised $744,646 to help pass the law. Only 46 donations totaling $2,125 came from Coloradans – or 0.28 percent. Large Democrat donors from California account for $730,485.
The National Popular Vote law, signed by Governor Jared Polis on March 15, gives Colorado’s nine Electoral College votes to the winner of the popular vote. Mesa County Commissioner Rose Pugliese and Monument Mayor Don Wilson launched a petition to put the law on the 2020 ballot. They gathered 183,673 valid signatures, far exceeding the 124,632 required.
The law will take effect after states totaling 270 Electoral College votes join the interstate compact.
This first campaign finance filing from the “Yes on National Popular Vote” committee proves what Coloradans are already saying. This is an effort from California to steal Colorado’s Electoral College votes.
In fact, Coloradans are so opposed to the measure, Jared Polis hid in his office to sign it into law. Prime sponsor, Senator Mike Foote (D-Boulder), did not even show up for the closed-door signing. Colorado’s Democrat-controlled government does not care that the people believe they overreached. Worse still, they are not willing to show their faces when they take away the votes of Coloradans.
Colorado’s Democrat rulers are content to shove new laws down the throats of Coloradans who oppose them. They intend to remake Colorado in the image of California, and they will take millions of dollars in out-of-state funds to do it.

This is tyranny.
The Dems want illegals to also vote. We must protect our votes.
Our Forefathers were much smarter than these political Jack’s we have now.
I do not want votes to only count for the East or West Coast!
